Anyone Need Some Ham?
It’s been a busy few days. First, on Sunday, Marty and I had a lovely ride to Chapel Hill and back (with a pitstop at Café Carolina). It was a nice warm, sunny day – windy but I ain’t complaining since I was out in shorts and short sleeves! Monday and Tuesday were filled with a work Finance Conference. Don’t worry; I won’t be going into detail of any of that!
This week we’re off to Smithfield, Virginia:
Smithfield is not far from my sister Heather’s house, and Setup puts on a sprint race there. I did it last year and this year Marty is racing, out to get his revenge on me from the butt-whuppin’ I gave him at Azalea. My dad is flying up for the weekend and Shana’s fiancé will also be racing. The 10am start time is nice! There isn’t an Open division, so I’m hoping my swim time gets me somewhere close to the front (it’s another 300 yard zig-zag pool swim). One things for sure, the weather is looking better than it was last year – which was 40 degrees and windy!
And thus starts our nonstop weekend busyness. Next week our good friend from Orlando, Dan is up for a visit. The following is my sister’s bridal shower/bachelorette party. Then St. Anthony’s. Then it’s the White Lake Sprint. A weekend off, then Marty and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary in Asheville (with Tassie, of course!). The weekend after that is a small triathlon on Saturday followed by BRI’S 30th BIRTHDAY BASH!!! Wahoo! And the weekend after that is ANOTHER sprint race in Virginia! Anyone want to come over and do our laundry and some cleaning over the next few weeks?
