Patriots Half

Nope, not doing the Patriots Half, just going to support one of my bestest friends Alysia - it's her first half! She had been debating for awhile about doing one and I told her a long time ago that if her husband couldn't go with her I'd be happy to be her sherpa.

It'll be a fun girls weekend; we're going to go to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg on Sunday. Hopefully, Alysia won't be too tired because I'm going to print out the map and plan out what rides we're going to go on first - of course we'll sprint through the gate right when it opens (this is what my dad would always do when we would go to Busch Gardens in Tampa - roller coaster riding is serious business).

So Marty will be the bachelor this weekend, but he's keeping himself plenty busy with the Pier 2 Pier swim in Wrightsville Beach on Saturday and then the Magnificent Mile on Sunday.

Wow... The Gaal's must have been "that" family that the Price family was racing at 9am (when the park opened) to the entrance of the roller coaster that would eventually produce the longest line!!!! :) :) Our dad thrived on developing and executing the perfect plan of attack to maximize riding the "best" rides, while minimizing line waiting... wow.. too funny!! Good luck Alysia!! :) Take it easy on her Bri.. perhaps a light trot would be more suitable than an all out sprint! :)

I love being a sherpa. It's so much more fun to cheer at races - all the fun and none of the stress. Have a good weekend!

I'm jealous...I want to go. I should get at least a 1/2 a girls weekend for Tim having 2 in a row right? Have fun and ride the big bad wolf...I think that's the one.

Give Alysia a big "get your butt moving" for me!

Being a sherpa is hard work! There is so much stress to get just the right photo and then at all the right cheering spots. Good luck to you :) And of course good luck to Alysia, how exciting that she is doing her first half!!!!

Apollos Chariout and Alpengeitst (front seat) are my favs. Do Alpengeist at night it's more fun. The new coaster that hangs over the edge before the first drop is neat but fairly short. I love Busch Gardens Wburg b/c it's usually always very clean and has a lot of nature around the park. Very peaceful not all metal and concrete like some parks. Now if you are a lowery you ride the Loch ness monster first b/c from it remember it is open at 9am when the rest of the rides don't open til 9:30. It's a classic as well.

Have, I wish I would have know you were going I might have been able to get you some tickets. My good friend Chuck's girlfriend has worked there for a long time in the Marketing Dept.

Tell Alysia I said good luck and have fun.

When you all coming to FL???????

I hope your friend a good first half iron experience at Patriots! I just thought i would check and see what you were up to! I loved your comment on Maija's blog today about sometimes we do have religious experiences in the pool. I think sometimes that is true! Especially if I am swimming exceptionally well (not too often) or exceptionally crappy! (more often). Hope you're doing well!
