Nice Memorial Day weekend down in St Pete with mah woman. She done had her burfday. I gots her all sorts a mad-whack jewlree. She said 'damn, son, where you gettin' all dat jewlree from,' an I said, 'from yo jewlree box cuz I sure ain't gotts da money to buy nothin!' So if you wanna keep my girl and me happy, send us some gold nuggets and some diamonds, pronto!

Tuesday AM - 3400 m swim
lunch - off
PM - track run ~10 miles
  • 20min warm up
  • 6 x 400 ~:85 with 200 at 7:00 pace between each
  • 16 min jog
  • 5 x 400 at :~85 pace with 200 at 7:00 pace between each
  • 12 min cool down
  • Wanted to goal race pace (:80-81) on the 400s but I was feeling very sluggish
Wednesday AM - off
lunch - off
PM - 50m group ride with 14min transition run at a decent pace (~6:20)
Thursday AM - 2300 m swim
lunch - 30min EZ spin
PM - track run ~9 miles
  • 24min warm up & stretch
  • 2x100 strides
  • 10 x 200 at ~:34 with walkback between each
  • 5min jog, then remember my damn keys are at the track
  • 12min tempo run to get the keys and outrun a killer lightning storm
  • 4min easy jog in the parking garage
Friday AM - 1500 yd swim (good time crunch workout)
  • 400 easy
  • 200 kick
  • 6 x 50 on :35
  • 2 x 100 on 1:10
  • 6 x 50 on :35
  • 100 easy cooldown
lunch - 3m jog
PM - drive to St Pete
Saturday AM - 2.5 hr Miami group ride & 16min run
lunch - off
PM - bachelor party
Sunday AM - planned a long run (11-12), got nothing
lunch - drive home
PM - off

Totals: Maybe 7 hrs riding, 3.2 running, and 2.5 swimming. Still pretty low. Gonna have to start bumping up my ride time soon. I can fake the swim and I think the quality runs are great, but 1 longer run per week is a must. Weekend travel makes things very difficult sometimes.
